About

The Elysian Lullabies Garden, led by Airlea Rasul and created by the Terra Elysium Foundation, is an upcoming transformative rain garden project in Northwood Park, a designated Neighbourhood Improvement Area in the Jane and Finch community. Designed to enhance stormwater management, restore pollinator habitats, and foster community engagement, this initiative will feature native plantings like Eastern Red Columbine, Wild Geranium, and Swamp Milkweed, creating a vibrant and ecologically beneficial space. In collaboration with local organizations, the project will offer inclusive workshops on sustainability, native planting, and mental wellness, ensuring accessibility for youth, seniors, Indigenous communities, and underserved residents. By blending green infrastructure with community-building, this initiative will leave a lasting impact on environmental stewardship, public health, and social cohesion in one of Toronto’s most underserved neighbourhoods. 🌱
