Financial Management
Airlea supported the management of multimillion-dollar portfolios at Coast Funds (exceeding $5 million) to support 27 Indigenous Nations in British Columbia.
Airlea ensured strategic funding allocation and financial oversight for Indigenous-led environmental initiatives, fostering long-term sustainability.
Outside of Coast Funds, Airlea has also secured over $10,000 in nonprofit grants to advance environmental education, youth empowerment, and community resilience in Ontario.

Community Leadership
Airlea founded the Terra Elysium Foundation, a rapidly growing nonprofit focused on environmental education, sustainability, and community action.
Airlea directed and organized 10+ impactful initiatives since October 2023, engaging 100+ community members through workshops and advocacy campaigns.
She led environmental action efforts, removing 40+ pounds of plastic and waste pollution from Toronto’s waterfront.
Airlea organized and facilitated signature events, including Highway 413 Workshop, Watercolour Webs Workshop, Elysium Hike, and Beach Cleanups at Kew Beach & Sunnyside.


Awards & Recognitions
In December 2024, Airlea Rasul was recognized as one of Canada’s Top 25 Under 25 Environmentalists by The Starfish Canada for her leadership in environmental justice, youth engagement, and sustainability innovation.
In September 2024, Airlea received the Volunteer Appreciation Award from Honourable MP John McKay, honouring her exceptional contributions to environmental and community advocacy in Toronto.

Organizational Impact
At Royal Ontario Museum, Airlea has:

Engaged 500+ visitors as a Biodiversity Gallery Interpreter.

At Regenesis Canada, Airlea has:

Managed and expanded three environmental programs (Free Store, Mutual Market, Cycle TMU) at Toronto Metropolitan University, creating accessible student sustainability initiatives.
At LEAF Canada, Airlea has:

Facilitated the certification of major institutions and restaurants, including Durham College.
At Rafiki Bridge, Airlea has:

Empowered hundreds of women and children in Kenya through Bridging Cycles and the Adolescent Mentorship Program.
