Empowering Youth for a Brighter Future

Recognizing the vital role of young people in shaping the city’s future, Airlea advocates for a youth-friendly city budget. This includes supporting initiatives such as the establishment of new youth hubs in priority neighbourhoods, increased funding for youth violence prevention grants, and expanded youth employment opportunities. By investing in young people, she aims to lay the foundation for a more vibrant and inclusive Toronto.

Building a youth-friendly city starts with investing in opportunities, safety, and leadership for young people.

  • Youth Hubs & Support Services – Expand accessible spaces for mentorship, mental health support, and skills development.

  • Employment & Economic Access – Increase paid internships, entrepreneurship grants, and financial literacy programs.

  • Community Safety & Violence Prevention – Fund grassroots initiatives, peer-led conflict resolution, and restorative justice programs.

  • Civic Engagement & Leadership – Create pathways for youth to engage in decision-making through leadership programs and advisory roles.

By prioritizing these actions, Toronto can empower its next generation to lead, innovate, and shape the city’s future.
